Confused over christopher/modified bill Starr

    Monday:
    Squat 5x5 (5th set should be 5RM)
    Dead 5x5 (same)
    Bench 5x5 (same)
    Incline Bench 2x12-20

    Wednesday:
    Light Squat or Lunges 4 sets (if you're doing lunges, 8 each leg or 16 total)
    Good Mornings 3x8-12
    Military Press 5x5 (5RM)
    Pullups 4 sets, to failure each set
    Dips 4 sets, 12 each time then add weight

    Friday:
    Squat Note: YOU CUNT SHITTING SKEETRAGS 5 sets, with 5 reps each... except the 5th set should be your 3RM. If you can still do more then 3 reps your 5th set, go until you can only get 3 reps up. This 3RM will then be your weight you should use on your 5th set on Monday.
    Tricep Extensions 2x12-20
    Bent Over Row 5x5
    Incline Bench 5x5

    Can someone explain what the bolded part is saying, I'm a bit confused

    It's saying work up to a weight that you can only do three reps of. Then on monday (as in your next squat day) use that same weight and push it out for 5 reps.

    Edit... it's also apparently saying you're a .. "cunt shitting skeetrag" ... :dunno:

    I did this starr routine I found:

    Monday:
    Bench, Clean, Squat- increase weight each set, maxing out on the fifth rep of fifth set("heavy day"), 5x5

    Wednesday:
    Bench, Clean, Squat- use the weight you did on your third set monday ("light day"), 5x5

    Friday:
    Bench, Clean, Squat- use the weight you did on your forth set monday ("medium day"), 5x5


    I didn't have much interest in cleans so I replaced them with DL's... Simple routine yet I added ~40 lbs to my bench (180 to 220), ~75lbs to my DL and Squat (250 to 325 DL, 220 to 300 SQ). Did it between june and october. I also gained 15 lbs.


    I believe it's basically the unmodified routine. I added stuff like Christopers did with some days having some incline DB press or lateral raises or rows. Rows/pulldowns in particular stayed on the 5x5 scheme since none of listed stuff works lats, but everyting else was 2x10.

    Well I think it was you who pasted the routine after christophers post got pruned and whatever the fuck is in the original post here is more confusing than it was.

    I just added the You WARMUP TO A 3rm you cuntshitting skeet rags, IE do a warmup and then do a 3rm

    just squats, afaik.

    it's not set in stone or anything. I found, and am trying a mod that:

    Friday
    first three sets: same as monday
    fourth set: monday's 5 rep max + 2.5%. Go for three reps
    fifth set: same weight as the third set. Go for 8 reps

    Same as anything else, build a base and then try new things. find out what works for you; there are no absolutes.
