    He's 40, 70 inches tall, 200 lbs. (basically me, 24 years older)

He's got a belly, though, and wants to lose it - but "not at too much of a rapid, crazy rate, take it slowly and surely"

He lifts with me and has a moderate level of activity (NOT INCLUDING THE WORKOUT - which is heavy weights) in each day.

How much of each does he need to cut?

I've tried using the calorie calculators on F&N's archives but they suck.

10-12 times bodyweight is a good starting point for calories. Adjust from there. For protein, 1 to 1.5 times bodyweight.

I'd try somewhere in the 2000 range, and yeah- protein ~200 grams. Is he a newb lifter or has he been lifting for a while?
