What is a good holster for carrying your concealed weapon. My dad uses his fanny pack or he has a shoulder holster when he has a jacket or hoodie on. How do you guys carry yours? Also any links to good places to get holsters from.

Any other advice i would appreciate. I plan to carry a .40 or .45 probably that new Para Ordanance Night Hog. or something simalar.

i am now using a Galco IWB. lightweight, very thin, non-collapsing leather holster with J-clip.

comfortable enough and thin enough for my purposes.

I've been looking at the Para Night Hawgs. I like the look and feel but that handle on them is pretty thick.

I'm thinking about going with one of the compact kimbers. I don't like the compact Glocks or XDs too much.

Spotting guys carrying with fanny packs is pretty easy. I'd never wear one. I'd go with IWB.

i'm thinking about picking up a belly band for my CC. florida is just too damn hot to have clothes on that would cover a belt holster.

I carry with leather or kydex IWB, nylon or kydex OWB, leather shoulder holster, nylon ankle rig. Also a kydex neck sheath. Depends on what I am doing and wearing. Unfortunately each person is built diffferently so what is comfortable and works for me may not work for you. You usually have to go through the fun process of trying different styles to find what fits.

As for the Para. Great guns except for those damn WartHawgs in .45. They have a problem with feeding. Haven't tried the new NightHawg 9 though. If I go with a subbie 1911 I would probably snag a new Springfield in .45gap.

"Fanny packs are also great except everyone wants to know what type of gun you are carrying and it's tough to sit with it for long periods."

My main mode of carry is IWB. I have a cheap holster from Don Hume Leather that is AWESOME, especially for the ~$35 it cost. I also have a couple custom rigs from HBE leatherworks. His COM-2 makes a 5" 1911 dissapear under a tee shirt. Really depends what you want in a holster. Myself? I like fine leather.

Kahr's new P45 should be the ultimate compact carry .45, if you are willing to wait a couple months.

look into Don Hume holsters for inexpensive, high quality leather goods, or Sidearmor for good Kydex.

I have a Don Hume clip that cost me $20 and gets regular use. For daily carry I prefer a Blade-Tech IWB.

    What about THUNDERwear!?

i use IWB holsters normally as well, with a Hedley pocket holster for my P3AT.

IMO, a gun has no place being that close to my dick.

it'll make my dick look even smaller. :hsugh:

I just picked up a cheap (OWB) Fobus paddle for about $20. Just wearing a button down untucked is long enough to cover it. For the most part I'm pretty pleased with it.

I would look into something a little better quality for a carry holster.

I used a cheapie nylon IWB Uncle Mike's for months before I started making my own. If it holds the gun well and is comfortable then who cares who makes it?
