My father and I have discussed doing a Texas CHL course together recently since I am now 21. I'll most likely do the course this summer whether I actually decide to carry or not. My father and I have always had a love affair with Sig's since we have had the opportunity to shoot a few and loved it, however, I'm curious what you all prefer/recommend. It's been awhile since I've had a Sig in my hands, and my dad has always been set on buying a P226, however that seems like it would be rather large to CC.

I'm sure this is probably a repost of a repost, but I've been through some of the past pages and didn't see anything...and I know I haven't gotten a sub yet so I can't search

Smith & Wesson 642 in Mika pocket holster.

Preferred choice would be a polymer based 9mm like a Glock 19. Holds 15 rounds and weighs less than a SIG P229.

I've actually been looking at the P250 recently...if I pick a Sig, I probably will chose a .40...from the specs of the newer ones though the P250 doesn't look much smaller than the P226 or P229...even in the compact

It's not that small. I want something like a J frame but I've already got this and love it. Wish it was a touch smaller though. :o

I carry based on the situation, but the most used/daily is my Kel-Tec PF9. Almost dont notice it's there with the clip.

Sig P229 SAS V2 in 9mm here. Closest I could come to a P226 and still conceal on my 5'8 frame. That being said, the P229 is about the largest and heaviest gun I'd ever CCW. Looking into a Walther PPS for a thinner summer carry gun or might get a holster for my 10mm Glock 29. :noes:

P3AT most of the time lately cause it's simple. G19 if I feel I need something more. G36 here next week once I get my new leather/belt.

A good gun belt and a good holster make it almost easy to lug around an extra 4lbs.

Everytime you post a picture of that I go into the local Cabela's and hold their 360PD. I end up walking away after looking at the pricetag and realizing it wouldn't be all that fun at the range shooting .357Mag...

Then you post another picture and the cycle begins all over again. :o

  20. It's really not bad at all. Last time I went to the range I just had the 5 .357 Gold Dots that I carry in it. I fired 4 of them off without any trouble at all. I gave the last one to Laurel. She fired it and commented "oh, it's really not that much more recoil than my 642."

I don't think I'd fire box after box of hot .357 ammo through it at the range, but I don't find it unpleasant to shoot at all.

...this isn't helping me NOT buy one. :squint: Plus I just spent my gun-buying cash on a P220.

Depends on my mood, I have lots of carry guns. :hs:

As of late, mostly a Glock 30. If I'm pocket carrying, it's a Keltec PF9.

Usually a 642 or P99c depending on where I'm going.
