What do you guys like for carrying a spare mag? It'll be a full-cap Glock 19 mag, since a little big and heavy to just pocket.

I hear a lot of people say that IWB mag pouches are uncomfortable if you're also using an IWB holster. For an OWB I guess I like the looks of the Sidearmor kydex pouch since it can be adjusted for vertical or horizontal carry, and can also be adjusted for "ride height". The Wilderness pouch is similar but it looks bulky as fuck for no apparent reason.

    Who likes what and why?

Take a look around that site, bianchi sells quite a few different ones. I'm pretty sure they have a nylon one with no cover and they definetly have leather ones with no covers.

I buy the Uncle Mike's IWB holsters that have a magazine pouch attached.

I hate carrying the extra mag in a pants pocket, it collects lint there like a Dyson vaccuum.

I made a double just for giggles. I'd make a single if I carried a spare mag for CCW, though.

Thats nice for saying you have an extra mag on you but realistically having the magazine under the hand thats already holding a gun makes it far less useful to me.

I've tried IWB mag carriers and I think they're incredibly uncomfortable. I think a owb is the way to go. Most of them are pretty much the same. I have alessi's and like it.

Ukraine Train thats some really nice detail on the holster, did you use hand tools or a press for that? I'm still trying to find a hand tool to do my boning with that doesn't gouge.

When I pocket carry, I have a Desantis pocket mag holder. Otherwise it's all OWB mag pouches, to go along with my IWB holsters. I have a few mag pouches from Will Bill's Concealment that work great, and also a Comptac that works pretty good.

Anyone know of a single mag pouch that sits on the belt horizontally instead of vertically? I can't find any :o

Sidearmor, BladeTech, Comp-Tac, The Wilderness & Maxpedition all have pouches that can be worn horizontally.

I think I'm going to wait a little while. I have some TKW pouches on order for USPSA anyway, so I might just wear one of those for a while and see if that gives me a better idea of what I want.

I've always thought of having a spare mag with me, but don't know how viable it would be on a daily use with me going to work. I would HOPE 16 shots is enough to defend myself. :mamoru:

Its not so much about round count as being able to clear a malfunction.
