My computer worked fine the other day, and that night when I turned it on I got the windows error screen that asks to either boot up normally, safe mode, etc...No matter what I pick it tries to start and just before my desktop it flashes a blue screen for a split second and restarts.

Is there a way to see what that blue screen says? What could cause this problem, and what should I do to try and fix it (installing Windows would be my first choice, but my discs are at my parents house).

I'm running Windows XP Pro, Athlon 64 3000, and a gigabyte motherboard (can't remember model number)

Try a full format when you can, if the problem persists I would say there's either a problem with your motherboard or your power supply.

I say we hook the computer between the jeep and matt's truck with a strap and see what happens. Then we jump matt and steal his casino winnings, we'll split it and both have new computers.:bigthumb:

I think the registry is fried. A Windows repair should make it work again, but you'll have to reinstall all your programs to get all the proper Registry settings back the way they should be.
