Computer is AMD Athlon XP 1700+, soyo dragon lite mobo, winXP home.

The computer will not boot normally. If I just turn it on, nothing comes on the screen at all indicating that no signal is being sent at all to the monitor. If I remove the battery and reset the CMOS, the computer will boot up just fine.

I tried replacing the battery. I even checked the existing battery with a voltmeter and it comes out fine. I ran a virus scan and found nothing.

Any suggestions on fixing this problem?
