Hey guys. I just hooked up my computer to my LCD TV using the RGB connection (VGA cable) and I have an RCA cable for the audio with a RCA -> 3.5mm adapter on one end to plug into my computer but I'm not getting any sound.

I'm using a Home Theater in a Box dvd receiver and 5.1 surround sound system but I'm not getting sound through it and also no sound through my TV speakers as well...

    Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your sound is enabled?

My LCD TV accepts a 3.5mm connection, so maybe you can look for that?
Read the manual, because sometimes the audio input is specific to the video input.

Make sure you have the sound plugged into the right port on your computer and you have your receiver on the right input that corresponds to what you plugged your rca cable into.

Make sure the volume on the computer is turned up and not muted.

To make it simpler just run the sound from the pc to the htib aux input and you're good to go. Running it to the tv first is just a hassle. I have mine setup like that with a sony htib and it works fine.
