So my computer has always worked fine on Age of Empires, but I tried multi player yesterday and the computer just shut off after about 10 mintues. I restarted the match and after about the same amount of time it restarted.

The computer has never done this before on anything else, and has been running for 2 years now. I built the pc myself.

    AMD XP (Barton) @ 2.0ghz
    1gb mem
    120gb SATA WD
    ATI 9800 Pro
    Win 2000

MBM5 saw temps as high as 71*

Bit hot, but not enough to make the whole pc shut down I don't think.

71 degrees C is equal to 160 degrees Fahrenheit

dunno what the default shutdown degree is though

Like everyone else said, your processor is overheating. 71*C is WAY to hot. Get a new CPU fan STAT.

no need to bump it, it was only 1/2 down the page noobert. :2004: = :barf:
