try downloading the most current drivers for your card off the internet www.creativelabs.com. if that doesn't work, try selecting different devices (mwhen this happens to my comp the driver usually defaults to "windows defaul driver" when i use "SB Audigy 9000") you may have to change this in the actual APP that you use to play your music (plus...i suggest you get winamp from the net, not that bundle bullshit)

    any luck?

What sound card do you have?

EDIT: looks like you have a Creative Labs SB Live? Download the XP drivers for that...

All I can say is go here http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ and check off your specs and it should give you your drivers. If not why don't you unplug your speakers, then uninstall your drivers, then reinstall the drivers and plug the speakers back in.

    remove (unistall) the driver...
download new driver or use the Dell disc that came with computer, install new driver. Porblem solved.
