computer newbie question

    i got the 512mb ram instead of 256 on my ibook but i want to get 1 gb ram so it is faster, i think i got 2 stick of 256, can i put a third stick of 512 in or what?

    I believe all the recent iBooks have only 1 available slot for expansion. This means you've got 256MB built in plus a 256MB DIMM. You would have to remove the 256MB DIMM in order to add another.

    The new ibooks have 512 on board, with an open slot for expansion. Open the expansion slot first to make sure, than buy a 512 so-dimm to stick in there.
