    My laptop has PC2100 memory.

Can I upgrade that to PC2700?
If so, I have to take out the 2100 chip, correct?

if your laptop can support pc2700 it'll work. Otherwise you'll just be running at pc2100 speeds for the price of pc2700. Most laptops have 2 memory slots.

no, you have pc2700. Unless along the way you switched it out with something else.

Ya, I pulled out the memory and it is PC2700.

I talked to a Toshiba rep and he told me it was PC2100.

I got the picture to prove him wrong.:big grin:

hahahah, that's pretty funny that the toshiba rep doesn't even know his/her own equipment. Oh well, you did the right thing, take it out and look at it :)
