I've got an 01 Suzuki TL1000R and I'm beginning to think it has a computer limiter on it. It rev limits at only 9600 rpms redline is shown at 10-12 on the tach. When I say it limits, I don't mean bounces, I mean slacks off, like cuts fuel pressure.

Second, I've heard top speed on this particular bike is around 162. I find this odd because I was doing 160 in 5th the other day and it still had more in it? (I realise I should not have been going that fast, but I was curious to see if it was limited or not. I ran out of road.) Computer limited or what?

If it is, can I get a delete chip or something? If so, where?

It does it in every gear like a rev limiter. If it is a limiter, it seems early.

It feels like a limiter though, like the fuel is being cut off. I understand that it's harder for a Twin to pull the high rpms, but redline at 10K, it should make it there before it starves.
