Back for the holidays and parents throw me a computer problem. It's a relatively new Dell. Well it will come to the loading XP screen and then it wil just reboot.

    New harddrive time?

Could be lots of things. See if it will go into safe mode. Run a chkdsk. Download memtest86 and let it run for a while. Download diagnostics from your drive maker. Seagate also has a free universal one called Seatools that makes a bootable CD.

    It might be over-heating.

If it's a desktop, open it up and vacuum out any dust.
If it's a laptop, make sure the fans aren't blocked.

It fucking sucked worst then using the last previous good setting.

So I just took the hard drive out and threw it into another drive to see what's on it, then I will try to put OSX on it to see what happens.

    Well it can't be overheating.

When I first turn it on, it will reboot during the windows loading screen.

Could be software, could be hardware.

A psu on the way out will do that.

Well I just threw the drive into another computer, took off the shit I wanted and then deleted the partition. I guess I will do a fresh install of XP or something.
