Your DVD drive could be dying, that happened to mine; the loading/seek times were longer and finally i couldn't install half of my software due to drvie errors (WoW took about 7 hours to install)

have you tried another piece of software to see if it takes as long?

if not sounds like it's on it's way out.

your burn time is also highly dependent on your cpu, ram and harddrive. the computer has to deliver the data to the burner and then it burns it. if there's a bottleneck somewhere, it'll slow the burner down

i agree. the bottleneck is probably your harddrive, most likely your system
or it could be lack of memory

when my dvd burner died(liteon), it was burning stuff at it's normal speed, but then one day it started getting all screwy and only recognizing certain disks. i ended up buying an oem new burner from newegg for about $26 shipped.

then i turned the liteon diode into a burning red laser...until i killed it with a static shock, oh well
