I am thinking of getting a couple of the nike (micheal vick style) compression t's for the gym. they are kinda the tighter fit but not extremely tight....i would get XXL to reduce the gayness.

anyone here use compression t's for the gym?

The reason I'm thinking of getting them is because I like the look (minus the tightness in the torso area AND i get them heavily discounted. The retail for $20 a piece and I can pick them up w/ my discount and coupon for $10 ea. or $5 ea. if i use both coupons i have.

here is what they look like:[IMG]

I'd lift in one, but I'd feel like a douche. 160lb broliness strutting arround in my skin tight shirt. I'll stick to a tshirt.

you seem to stress the part about the t-shirt being tight and saying you dont like it to avoid flaming. i'm guessing since you seem to be focusing on that only...thats the reason why you like them. so you can look big if you arent...or you will look gay and think you look big. i think they have a purpose for wearing under sports jerseys but just to lift :ugh:

and the only question i see here is if anyone else wears these...so no i dont. i just get a plain white/black t-shirt (from dolce and gabbanna of course) and throw it on and go work out.

Here is a better idea. Buy those shirts at the discount, sell them for profit on ebay

I am 6'0-6'1"ish and 195 lbs, athletic build........not a fat 250lb'er. I would buy XXL to reduce the tightness of it

I personally like those kind of shirts. I have a Nike long sleeve that I wear running, it's really comfortable. I'd way rather wear that to the gym than the string tank tops & orange hammer pants alot of broly guys wear.
I always just wear a t-shirt and jogging pants to the gym though.
I'm not sure why it's ok for only big muscular guys, or big fat guys to show their shape. Apparently everyone else is supposed to hide like they're hunchbacks.

Also I finally got an Under Armor shirt, it's a coldgear one for wearing as insulation outside. It's a large and I could barely get it on. Hope it works good.:x:

So you'd wear anything to they gym then? As long as you can move in it, and it's not too hot. It's probably the same reason one cares what they wear to school or work. You don't need cologne and a dress shirt, but I try to look half way decent where ever I go. The guy just asking for advise on a shirt.

p.s. there are actual girls at some gyms.

yes, i'll wear pretty much anything to a gym, but i respect your wanting to look decent wherever you go. or someone who wears ugly clothes everywhere simply because he finds them comfortable. make whatever decisions you want about how you dress, it won't bother me...

but read the first post again. the guy won't even make a decision. he's afraid that people will think his shirt is "gay" so he'll get an XXL so it won't be so tight... and is now checking to see if we think the XXL "gay" ... furthermore, he's trying to give excuses for buying it (getting it cheap), to try to make us say what he wants to hear.

if you want a shirt, buy it and wear it. there. done.

I thought we went over this before...Use your discount at the sporting goods store to buy some matches then burn the entire inventory on thoes gay looking shirts.

That way I wont have to look at the fatties that think its okay to wear em. thank you.
