I've made some changes to PHP (already ran ./configure, make, make install) and now I have to compile apache but I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

    I've run:

    Code:
    [9:19am]# httpd -v
    Server version: Apache/1.3.36 (Unix)
    Server built: Jun 6 2006 11:35:00

That tells me that Apache was compiled last with NO args, am I right in thinking this?

So now I should be able to run:

    ./configure
    make
    make install

    For apache?

    I ask because I've run:

    Code:
    [10:08am]# ./configure
    Configuring for Apache, Version 1.3.36
+ Warning: Configuring Apache with default settings.
+ This is probably not what you really want.

And apache telling me that I probably don't want to do this doesn't make me feel confident.

    Hrm:

    Code:
    [10:46am]# cat config.status
    #!/bin/sh
    ##
    ## config.status -- APACI auto-generated configuration restore script
    ##
    ## Use this shell script to re-run the APACI configure script for
    ## restoring your configuration. Additional parameters can be supplied.
    ##

    ./configure \
    "--with-layout=Apache" \
    "$@"

Ahh fuck me, my last ./configure overwrote config.status.

Ooo, though I do have a configure.verio (our host)..

    Code:
    #!/bin/csh

    setenv SSL_BASE /usr/local/ssl
    setenv CFLAGS -DHARD_SERVER_LIMIT=2048

    ./configure --enable-module=ssl --enable-shared=ssl \
    	    --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a \
                --enable-module=so --enable-module=rewrite \
                --enable-suexec --suexec-caller=nobody \
                --suexec-docroot=/usr/local/apache --suexec-gidmin=1 \
                --suexec-logfile=/usr/local/apache/logs/cgi.log
