I have the netgear MA701 Compact Flash card for my pda. I was wondering, if I were to get one of those compact flash adapters for the memory cards, would I be able to use the wireless adapter on my laptop? I'm sure drivers may be an issue, I'm just trying to clear up any hardware details I could be overlooking, because I dont want to damage anythign.

I'm pretty sure you can - I've seen other people with that setup

Really? I know I've seen pcmcia cards in desktops, but I've never seen someone with a compactflash card in a laptop.

Shouldn't be a problem if you can find drivers.

Some Epson photo printers came with a PCMCIA slot and a Compact Flash adaptor (plus coupons for SD and Smart Media card adaptors). I've seen people use those in their laptops.

I called up netgear. They said they dont have drivers for this to run on win2k. Right now I'm not feeling in the mood to try this. I noticed microcenter has a wireless pcmcia card for $8 more than what I paid for my compact flash adapter (too lazy to open, dont want to get charged 15% unless I know it will work) after rebate.
