First, I'd shutdown my comp, and it would boot itself right back up. I'd be like wtf, and have to hold the power button down to kill it. Then it would boot up again. So, I turn the switch off on the back. Then when I boot up again, it like cycles.. turns on, resets, repats like 5 times.. til nothing. So, I remove all my components, and problem continues. It now only has my power supply, and the board/chip hooked up. Won't even turn on most of the time. Sometimes it will do the cycling thing again, as if it was about to boot up, but then it doesn't. Board is an A7N8X-E Deluxe, and the chip is an AMD 2800 XP 'Barton.'

Is this one of those generic PSU's (Correct me if I'm wrong about what I am saying, but I am dying from lack of sleep here. MMMMmmmm...Sleep.)?

Get an Aspire, MGE, Sparkle, TT, Vantec, PC Power and Cooling, Fortron, etc. Don't buy that PowMax/Raidmax/Generic shit. I had a Powmax PSU that sucked so much ass that I just gave it away...Didn't even charge for it. Bought it as a gift for a buddy, and he gave it back. He even requested that I buy it for him.

    Man...People are assholes!

i doubt it's the psu, but you can try to swap it.

    Aspire is crap
    vantec is over priced
pcp&c is tooooooooo expensive, but good.
    tt is shit

Sparkle and fortron are the only suggestions I agree with for the average consumer.

I have never heard any bad things about Aspire or TT...I don't know where you are getting this from.

That's why I've been trying to ignore his posts :hsd:. But I'll give the guy a chance, I really don't like making enemies.
