I'm looking at CCW holsters and i came across two that I was primarily interested in, 1 being the ever popular Mtac, and secondly the High Noon Public Secret.

    Mtac

Public Secret (sorry, the pics are not right clickable, so i can't link them)
    Front
    Back

The High Noon would be $120 Horsehide, $85 cowhide, + shipping

    The Comp-Tac would be $80 + shipping

I know both are very reputble, i dunno what to think, the plastic or all leather, i know i've heard people saying that their mtacs squeek when they break in

I have a tailgunner from HNH and I fucking love it. Most comfortable holster I've worn (including a Ctac).

Great customer service as well, but you'll be waiting a while for it :o My holster took almost exactly 6 months to arrive to me. I bought a cheapo Bianchi to use in the mean time, then sold it at a 10 dollar loss once the new one came. I also ordered it when HNH's prices were 10 dollars lower, so I got the holster for a pretty damn good deal.

Those are two completely different styles of holster so it's hard to compare them. While trying to be as unbiased as possible (since I own an MTAC), I'd have to say the mtac would be superior simply based on the ability to adjust it for concealment and cant.

The one i'm looking at is an instock item, shipped within 3 days

What makes them ride so differently? I'm total noob when it comes to holsters so anything you can throw at me is more than welcomed.

Well, for one you can adjust the clips on the mtac for height and cant. that adds to the ease of concealment factor and the comfort factor.

the main thing that would make them "ride" differently besides the adjustability would be the distance between the clips. the less distance between the clips will mean more that the holster can sway/tilt.

it's all personal preference though so you may like the HN over the CT.

    just my 2 cents.

or you could pay 50% less for the mtac and get it within a week as compared to 4-5 months. :o

I have a CTAC and I honestly just don't like it. I can't get it to conceal as well as my Bianchi holster, I can't adjust it very well... :dunno:

they all look comfortable. i can say with confidence that I will stick with the MTAC for the forseeable future. I tried the crossbreed brand holster, which was actually first, but looked much more homemade, but concealed the XD45 quite well. This holster is a step up, in my mind. A holster is a very personal choice because we all have different body types. A good holster (as you surely know) can be the difference between carrying everyday (like you should) and saying, fuckit its too cumbersome.
