Whenever I boot up my comp...it gets to the windows xp screen and then for a second a blue screen flashes then it reboots. This will happen for as long as I let it. When I go into bios and do default optomized settings and save and exit..it seems to boot up normal. Only did this twice but it worked both times and is the only way to get it to work. Any ideas on what could possibly cause this?

I just tested it and loading those bios settings each time does nothing. It's a gamble whether or not my comp will load up now. does anyone know why?

Well, the next time it happens to boot up normal, right click on My Computer, go to properties, advanced, startup and recovery and UN-check the automatically restart box under system failure.

The next time you get a blue screen, the system will halt.

Copy down the info it gives you and search for it on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

It's most likely a driver issue.

    HTH.

And if you continue to have problems, you might have to reinstall
