I recently formatted a hdd that was full of crap.....it was running win 98se, I formatted the hdd (FAT32), forgot to make a Boot disk, but downloaded from the internet......have the install disk for 98se, when I start up the computer with the boot disk in the comp., it starts to read it but then after 15-20 seconds it stops and nothing else happens......the screen is black with nothing on it.......I start the comp. without disk and it tells me to remove all disks and Cd's from the comp. and then press any key to continue but there's nothing in the comp......what gives ........any help please.....thxs.....

What are you planning to do with the drive?

If you are going to install an OS, you can set the BIOS to boot off of a Windows CD.
