It's all good.. my gym time is either really early or really late until April 15 (I'm a tax accountant), so by that time all the :greddy: new year resolutioners will be shaken out

Tax season I'm usually like 10am-8pm (and usually stay later) 6 or 7 days a week, depending on how far in/how swamped I am... I should be able to hit the gym at 8am, most people will be at work/school at that point. Knock out an hour workout, shower, and get to work by 10... cake. Should be all good after 8pm too, people that just decided to go to the gym recently don't have the dedication to get off their fat asses that late in the day. :mamoru:

Resolution folks and Monday people fuck shit up. Always tons of people at the gym on Mondays, but by Wednesday they are nowhere to be seen. Thats why my favorite days at the gym are Fri-Sun

My gym doesn't really get any more busy duing January than most other months. I think the cardio stuff on the main floor might, but I don't really stop there too long.

Now Mondays there are usually a ton of people there - maybe 2x the normal amount. I am thinking of making that one of my days off and going Saturdays instead.

What is it with Monday that makes it more busy? People that decide they will start going and only make it one day.

Ya, i just started to go to a new gym in downtown dallas. There are sooo many tools and gays that go there. Also there is one squat rack. Dumbells only go up to 120. There are machines as far as the eye can see..

I only go bc is so close to my job. I cant imagine how much worse it will be come New Years.

i was looking at homes with every room being planned out with the focus on a home gym.

    rooms required:

    1) bedroom
    2) roommates bedroom (rent out = half mortgage payment )
    3) office
    4) Basement big enough for my home gym. Punching bag for cardio n then anything that doesnt use cables... a dip/pullup apparatus, squat rack, flat bench, plate rack; dumbell rack (those adjustable dumbells seem cheap and flimsy imho.... anyone happy with them?) and an adjustable bench that has the capability of supporting me if i want to do military presses (even tho the squat rack would do for push presses instead) then i was going to make a place to put my little air filled excercise balls in the corner out of pvc pipe....

but then i backed out of buying a home so i could save enough for a good sized down payment,

    i like my adjustable dumbells.

If I was using them for bench it would get annoying to have to set them down, take a minute to adjust, and then go straight to my next set.

For anything else where you dont' need to constantly change weight they're great though. i really only use em for arms/sholders, everything else i work at the gym

by that point i'll be jobless and just going to school... i'll have mornings and afternoons to lift most days of the week so it won't matter anymore at that point anyway :o
