a friend of mine had me do this for him.. thought it came out okay, but just wanted to get some general thoughts on it considering you usually see this stuff on civics and integras with nothing under the hood, not on 800hp street cars. is it as tacky as the b&w with one object in color thing?

A few other pictures of the car: clicks.

    thanks for looking.

Quite a nice effect. That being said I was told the other picture you referred to that I liked was tacky so what do I know? :big grin:

I like it, and it's well done.

 good point. oh, well.. to each their own.

thank you for the comment. oh, and speaking of b&w/color mixture -- here's another (chose to do it in this one because all the changes in lighting and the dark waterfall give it an interesting feel, imo): :mamoru:

Weird. The car looks like it's floating. Try the car b+w and the scene in colour. Depending on what the surrounding colours are that is :p

i've been finding myself downtown a lot lately (near kemper, southwest blvd., west bottoms (haunted houses) to name a few).. people have been showing me some pretty cool spots that i just haven't gone before because the roads suck.

    thanks.

    :hs:

most of the stuff is really simple. i got a lot of my ideas after reading a few tutorials on cell shading (deleted the links, but i'm sure google would turn up something if you wanted to find it), but i really still suck at photoshop.
