I just bought a grip for the D300...I shoot in portrait mode a lot, espcially in weddings...When the Fed-->EX man delivers tomorrow, I'll post pictures!

Heres to 8FPS, and a well balanced camera! I am excited.

The only problem is the damn grip is half the price of a used D50 now. :wtc:

FYI: Just because you have the grip doesn't mean you get 8fps. Unless you already know that, then nvm!

I have one for about three weeks and have had no problems with it at all.

In order to get the 8fps you'll also need an EN-EL4a, plastic cap and charger. to the tune of another $200 or so bucks...

Or you can use the AA tray..

You can get 8FPS, with the right camera settings, 8 AA's or the EN-EL4a battery. I am going to stick with the EN-EL3e batteries right now...I don't need 8FPS at weddings. I really like this camera, but there are lots of tweaks that help make it much better.
