In my opinion, it has a better balance of humor and action than Ultimate Spider-Man.

It's already been said, but Invincible and Battle Pope. Also, the three Brit one shots. But then again, I like Kirkman's sense of humor.

I think Y The Last Man has some action and humor. Maybe a little offset balance here and there, but the concepts are there. :)

cable and deadpool is the funniest current book right now, followed close by she-hulk. as for oldies the original deadpool run was pretty funny, and agent x was a riot too. what i'm really enjoying right now is the kind of dark, sarcastic humor of jamie madrox in the current x-factor run. peter david is excellent.

    example
madrox: don't worry, i'm on it.
monet: what do you mean, "you're on it"?
madrox: *staring at her with the :eek5: face* uhhh that means there's an "it,"......that i'm ON. *walks out the door*

 that and his angry dupe is hilarous

This is a bit of a longshot, but there's a series called "Chroniques de la lune noire" (which I guess translates to "Chronicles of a black moon" or something like that).
I've only ever seen them in European countries, and never in english.

I dont know if they're even out in english, but if they are then it's the perfect example of action combined with humor.

X-Statix is pretty good on the humor, great on wit and social commentary, and there's a lot of deaths ala action.
