Got the express version today, $40. I love this program so far. I've put in one long box so far, and a short box. I'm thinking about getting the handheld scanner later to make it easier. :o

It's basically a database program for comics. It has regular updates, etc. Lists a ton of comics, original and current prices, story notes, variants, etc.

    www.comicbase.com for a better description.

:werd: Now I have up to date prices on my whole collection, easy to add new books, etc. I just wish I had the $$ for the $300 version, it has cover pics for a lot more issues, even more obscure comics, etc. I just don't know if I can justify the cost.

I did get an offer from my comic store to set up sales on ebay for the owner, and I'd get a commission. I'm thinking about doing it. :o Maybe I could use the profits from that to buy the better version, along with expand my collection and maybe start selling out of my own store front.

Well, the good part is the owner is a really nice guy, but I take it he A) Doesn't know much about computers, and B) Doesn't have the time to mess with it even if he did.

I'd love to do my own online store, but I don't know if I'd make enough to stay open. I'd really love to open a back issue distributing business, and keep prices low so I can move a bigger quantity. I think there is a market there, since I go to some sites for back issues and the prices are pretty high, then check ebay and they're dirt cheap. I know some people are afraid to buy shit off of ebay, so me being in the middle as a cheap, safe alternative would probably do well. I just need more money to get started. :hs:

And if I ever do, comic crew will get a good discount.

Yeah, I'd love to basically dick off all day. To me, messing with comics = dicking off, just because it's not boring. I know I'll open one someday, just don't know how long it'll take. I'm aiming for < 10 years. I'm thinking of renting an actual store just to have someplace to go during the day, and the off chance that someone might stop in and buy something. I'm hoping to make the majority of my money off the internet, though.

Seems like a cool program. Do you know if you can use a sku scanner to input the comics?
