Working at Lowe's, I often have downtime and get to browse around aimlessly; when doing so, many ideas come to mind. The other day, I got a great idea!

As you can see below, on top is what my bed would normally look like, then, in the bottom of the picture, you see what lies below when the bed skirt is lifted.

The main reason I did this was because I didn't care too much for the idea of my scattergun to sit in the corner. If someone broke into my house when I was not there, they would have easy access to a weapon to possilby use against me. Well, now they'd at least have to look for it...

I just used two bicycle hooks and screwed them into the rails.

    Now bad, eh?

It's fine, as long as there are no kids around.

I keep a pistol by my bed, in a digital safe. Too many youngsters running around my place.

(and make sure not to add a sling which could get caught up :) )

Nope, no rugrats around the house; two mini-Dachshunds, but the gun will be moved before they are let into the bedroom.

I have a pistol in the dresser beside the bed, too, but the shotgun makes me feel better...

As far as the sling, nope, not on there for home use. I'll be using a CQB single point on a GG&G mount out of the house.

LOL, no! Just a depth perspective thing. If it were, it'd be kinda hard to mount hooks and a gun under the rails, eh?

 The only problem I see is that with the tac-light on it looks like it would get hung up really easy.

If I were you, I'd just put it under the bed without the hooks. I'm pretty bad at taking things off hooks.

This has nothing to do with the gun, but I hated working at Lowe's.

Speaking of MacGyver... My geometry teacher is an idiot, so the during the whole class, my friend and I talk about how cool MacGyver is, and what he'd do in certain cituations, and what he could make a bomb out of (anything).
