    Probably not many. My guess is that 90% of them are .22 rifles and shitty handguns.

    CO Springs is a pretty crazy place...I grew up going down there almost every other weekend. It's pretty awesome to see a fuckload of people OCing though

    Not unusual at all, I'm surprised any agency that confiscates guns doesn't already sell them.

    I worked for Florida Fish and Wildlife for several years. They confiscate hundreds of guns (in addition to other item, boats, trucks, trailers, all sorts of stuff). They used to sell them publicly, but realized it was stupid to confiscate bubba's hunting rifle for breaking the law, then sell it back to him a few days later. Now they gather up a few hundred guns (mostly .22 rifles), and take bids from a few licensed dealers for the whole lot. Supposedly they melt down illegally modified firearms, but I always saw the same uzis and sawed-off shotguns and junk in the store room year after year.
