A&P color help

    I'm planning a portrait and want the subject to be viewed as vulnerable so I'm doing framing from the torso up with an abstract background. Anyone have any suggestions about colors/brushstrokes/markings for the background would help convey this.

    shoot from an above angle, it makes them look inferior. Like if you take a normal picture of a child, you're pointing the camera down, making them look more vulnerable than if you took it straight on or from below
