I have the LG VX6000 and it's hot shit. My only complaint is that the vibrating ring is a bit on the weak side - I can barely feel it in my pocket.

Edit: I thought about going with the a530 but I don't like the color for one, and second I've heard that the antenna is in a position that it can be easily snapped off while changing batteries or something. :dunno: ....Although it is slightly smaller then the VX6000.

I break the antenna off my v60 all the time :rant2:

Also with the LG are there a lot of free sites to download ring tones and backgrounds? My friend has a Samsung phone and has quite a few free sites to dl ring tones and backgrounds

The phone does everything short of giving head, but I wouldn't be too suprised if I saw a firmware update for that.

    Here's a pic for a size reference:

    Some extra features:

    Voice memos
    World clock
Built in GPS for when you call 911... apparently you can also call 411 and ask them what restraunts are near the location you're calling from, but I don't know if the service exists yet (but the phone supports it).
    Calendar / Planner
    Alarm
    Sending / receiving pictures
Polyphonic ring tones (Mine says "Your cellphone is ringing" instead of a typical ring tone)
I've heard you can receive streaming video, but I haven't done it yet

The thing is like a mini PDA, camera, and phone all in one.

You can either use Verizon's built in "Get It Now" service (ring tones are a dollar each, they also have Java games and other shit you can download), or I've heard there is a way if you have the service to send and receive pictures ($3 / mo) you can send an email to your phone and attach a ring tone, then save the attachment and use it as your ring tone, but I haven't done that yet.

I have the LG 4400..that's good enough for me. The battery lasts longer than the newer ones with all fancy LCDs and screensavers :)

:dunno: I've only had the phone for a week - week and a half... but I left the phone on while I had no service (up in the mountains) and I still had 1 bar after 3.5 days, so I can't complain with the battery life.

If I didn't buy the VX4400 last month before I knew a camera phone was coming out I would have the 6000 right now.

Yep, and also allows different images to be displayed on your background for different callers. You can also set a ring for a certain group as well, I think.

Ooh, going with a blanket statement, huh? How about you give a reason for what you say - I love my phone.
