So Im going to be on campus basically every day from 830-5 or so.

Are there any heathy snacks to bring so that Im not forced to eat campus food.

I keep reading that you are supposed to eat 6 small meals a day but I dont see how thats possible with a college schedule.

I would ideally like to get cut since I cant really gain weight that well, so I figure eating healthy is a first step, which wont get done by eating the food on campus.

    He wasn't the OP.

I usually have shakes (muscle milks, etc), protein bars (detour, pure protein, etc), planters nuts, bring my shaker bottle to class (just add ice and water/milk)

you can eat campus food and stay in decent shape. You just have to choose what to eat wisely.

I dont have a car, otherwise this would be a lot easier. I figure protein bars are good, but 3-4 a day can add up in $$

blender bottle w/ protein powder... nature valley granola bars.

also find some healthy stuff on the menu on campus if possible... you don't have to eat it every day, but there will be days you don't have time to pack food so best to have something to fall back on.

like everybody else said, ice chest + ice = bring your fridge contents with you. never tried this but i might do it on the two days of the week I'm at school and work all day.

Make your meals in advance for a whole week. I make tuna and rice a lot. Bring it with you in a cooler.

At my campus they had subway, pollo tropical, pizza hut, and mc donalds.

I just stayed the hell out of the pizza hut and the rathskeller. Everything else, you can pick certain foods and still maintain within a certain protein/carb/fat range.

I freeze bottles of water/gatorade and use them to keep stuff like turkey, bread, protein bars, etc. fresh in a lunch box.
