I'm going to be buying a cold air kit for my 96 4.0L Explorer in the next 2 weeks and I'm leaning towards KKM (www.kustomz.com). Anyone have opinions of them or suggestions for alternatives?

As long as it uses a K&N air filter one is about as good as another.

Does that still use the factory intake pipe? Ben Jenkins makes the Intakes for 97-01 with a smooth anodized pipe which I think is alot better than the ribbed intake pipe. Supposively he is making one for the 96's by May so I am waiting until then.

I'd certainly prefer a chrome pipe to the plastic crap... does he have a site?

Oh that one. That's for the SOHC, not OHV. 97-newer only.
