coffee before working out?

    anyone drink coffee before working out? i seen a few old dudes at my gym do it. i am always tired after a long day of work/school, and was considering it...

    I drink water, coffee tastes like shit imo. i lift in the morning before a long day of work so i'm well rested. and if i just wanted the caffeine i'd take a jet alert pill which costs a couple cents instead of drinking coffee that costs a couple dollars

    dude i dont know about you but if I had coffee before working out I would puke all over the squat rack. Sorry if I was outa line but seems wierd to drink coffee before working out.

    I've done it, stimulants always gave me a huge pump. So much that I really work out better without them. I would give it a try sometime and see how it makes you feel.

    Regularly. I need one to pick me up from the 1 or 2 I have during the workday, but I'm from Canada, we love our coffee.

    I usually do, but not so much for the gym. I drink it all day at work. I can't really tell a difference at the gym if I do or don't. :dunno:

    I have before, but I do not like it because the coffee causes indigestion while I lift.

    When cutting though and low on carbs I will have a cup of coffee after my meal about 2 hours before hitting the gym. Seems to workout well. Enough energy to get me through a good workout, but not too much coffee so that I feel like shit.

    I drink some energyu drinks, take a shit ton of ephedrine, grab some cafiene pills, and then get some amonia to get you up.

    i've done it before... but it kinda makes me feel bloated when i'm working out, so i only do it if i feel like i REALLY need a boost

    I can't do any kind of stimulants on leg day, i would probably pass out or puke, i already get kind of lightheaded from squats. as far as any other muscle group, it gives you more energy, makes your heart beat a lil faster and what not. You will definitely feel the heart thing if you do heavy cardio, you might want to be a lil more careful there.

    I didn't realise coffee didn't sit well with so many people. Extra large 1/2 sugar 1 cream from Tim Hortons before the gym :drool:

    i take that organic yogurt shake and a caffeine pill

    gets me thru spin class as well as weight lifting sessions

    I drink coffe with milk and suger before workout.

    Works ok, I have only added muscle mass for the last 3 months I have been working out. :coold:

    Caffein in the right ammount tells your body to burn fat during a workout.

    You can take a stacker or something if you can't hack coffee??

    I LOVE COFFEE....mmmmmm....coffeee....

    Or green tea. It is good for you, too. 2 cups is almost one cup of coffee...full of anti-oxidants and has thermogenic effects.

    just sayin.
