Well I was originally going to buy it for PC, but since they announced the no DS shit I have been having my doubts :wtc:

Now here's the dilemma, my PC can run mw2 no problem, but i would play it on a 19' monitor :hsugh: :(

But if I got it for the ps3, then I would be playing on a 52' 1080p tv

    Can't decide! :hsd: Any suggestions?

I'd just do PS3. They're making the PC version a clone of a console version anyway so why bother? I canceled my PS3 pre-order to get MAG beta but I might reconsider. That terrorist level where you mow down all the civilians in the airport makes me want the game.

ps3 version of any multi platform game is always superior so definitely get that one. pc gaming is dead anyways and psn just keeps getting better each patch.

can you hook your PC up to your tv?
i plan to get this on PC for the single-player. mouse + keyboard + 1080p + superior graphics/framerate

regarding multiplayer, what's the big fuss over "no dedicated server"? i don't understand why all the PC people are crying/threatening to boycott over this. are the console versions getting dedicated servers?

if you never played a fps seriously on PC it's a pretty big deal for the community. dedicated servers give you much more flexibility when hosting, more options, admin control, a stable place to play with friends that's not hosted off someone elses machine, lets you pick what map you want to play on, who to play with, etc. now since everything is run off of the proprietary servers, matchmaking makes everything automatic and "easy" or "convenient." in other words since consoles are so easy to pick up and go with the average gamer, and the way XBL and PSN work, there are no dedicated servers, just matchmaking to make playing quicker and easier.

IW getting rid of dedicated servers will completely kill the competitive community and any type of real tournaments or ladders will be :ugh:

no dedicated server = no clan rooms, no REAL scrims, no admin, no mods, no custom files etc.

now its all the same as the consoles, where the host leaves, game ends which SUCKS.

also, keep in mind that most clan servers allow people to have a "home" if you want to call it that. in general, when you find a good server you tend to not leave if you get in, or the server is full you rotate through your favorites. now it is just a clusterfuck of people just like the console versions.

how can you be competitive at a game where you will most likely never play the same person twice, unless you are all in a party.

    :sadwavey: to scrims

it comes down to where you have more friends playing it, and if your pc sucks or not.

since competitive mw2 gameplay is out the window, go with:

couch + big screen + sound + mini fridge packed full of beer + controller

    FTW.

It's pretty much a console game, ported to PC. I would get it for PS3 if I was still considering buying it.

yeah the pc version probably isn't even worth playing for single player. with all the old versions the game was made to support PC better but since there aren't dedicated servers the game is probably a direct port with shitty bugs

If you want to play online, get it for PS3 and just pirate it for PC SP.

why not? mouse + keyboard + 1080p + higher framerate + better graphics doesn't appeal to you?

Most people have shit connections so PC will probably be a lag fest, unless a lot of people actually buy good servers and make them public. Playing FPS on a controller sucks though. I'm just passing on the game.
