    CMMG stripped lower delivered

    NOW WITH PICS

Well FFL jsut received my CMMG stripped lower -- I'm waiting on the background check to process. On a side note, I find it humorous that you have to list it selling a 'long arm' chambered in '.223' on the paperwork. Hey, whatever it takes to applease the higher-ups.

Lots of pics to be posted later this afternoon for anyone interested in a CMMG lower. Total price to FFL = $129.00 w/ shipping.

And I happened to see a Remy 870 on the used rack as I walked out... hmmm I wonder how much I could trade my old 700 in for credit towards it. :x:

    EDIT:

Ok, so I get the package... looks like UPS used it as a fuckin' football. Side of the box is crumpled and torn. And the reciever is placed in a single layer of bubble wrap...
There's one place on the box that's torn which matches up with the rear portion of the trigger gaurd next to the grip.

I mean, this is my first lower so I don't have anything to compare it too. But there's a few little nicks and blimishes on the reciever. Remember than place on box torn that matched the rear part of the reciever? Ta-da... Scruffed.

when you register it, can you reg it as 9mm and .223? or does that not really matter?

It doesn't matter, the only thing that could come back to bite you on the butt is if you have it logged in as a rifle and build it into a handgun.

They are on Eastern time and tend to leave the office around 3 on Fridays. I also had 2 calls into Linda today since they shipped our order to someone else and we gt their order :wtc:

Well I mean, it's not too much of a concern and once the grip is installed you'll probally never notice it unless you knew where to look

But the problem is that if that's possible with mine, it could be worse with someone elses. Common, it's a piece of federally restricted piece of metal that cost me $110. I can buy a flashdrive from newegg for a third of that price and it's packaged better.

I think out of 5-6 calls I've only talked to a CMMG employee once. :squint: And that was only to find out they actually DIDN'T have any lowers available AFTER I placed my order.
