This has come up a lot but it isn't that good of a deal. I have seen some of these rifles and they are beat to hell and not always chrome lined. As a follow up I broke down the price of a new CMMG rifle: All chrome lines and 1/7 twist.

    Complete lower :$225
    16" M4 upper: $500
    Total: $725

Spend a little more and get a brand new nice rifle.

Most of the guys on ARF have been getting great rifles from the bargain bin.

werd. a cmmg in decent condition would be nice, but I think the chance of getting a poor-quality, or non-cmmg ar would be high, and that's not right it.

:ugh: when a company has to be setup to re-ream DPMS chambers to 5.56 spec, that isn't quality.

Kind of like a company that bores the upper and lower connecting holes out of spec and then chalks it up as a "custom" job?

Every AR company has had their screw-ups at one point another. EVERY SINGLE. ONE.
