I really would like to use it for school, but I need Word, Excel etc. Is it possible to install those on a Macbook? :o

Thanks to OT I've figured out how to get on the internet, but that's about it. Any helpful hints or suggestions? Thanks!

Yes, there is an office pack for mac. However, I've found that pages and keynote does it for me.

Well I think the hubby stole it and I'm stuck with the Gateway so it doesn't seem to be much of an issue anymore :hs:
I will pass the links and info onto him, thanks!

One more question. Hubby read something about DVDs and country codes, that you can play a DVD 5 times and whatever country code the 5th dvd you play has, that is what the laptop is permanently set to? Is there any way to get around that?
    Thanks!

No. Actually, Openoffice.org for OS X blows. It runs under X, which makes it slow as balls. Load times are like 30 seconds. Blazing... piss poor slow.
