Ok, I took pictures for a promoter at a club on saturday and want to know if any of you guys that do club photography have a contract that you guys use. They just want to use the pictures on their website, no print ads or web ads. Would a verbal contract suffice or should I get a written one?

    Thanks in advance

A good verbal contract verified by you, the person who is hiring you, and at least a 3rd person should be good enough. But remember, if they're just looking for someone to take pictures during the events and post them on the website, they can easily get someone else to do it quickly if you're too demanding/expensive.

Just let them know that you own the original rights to the photos but they can use them for the website and/or promotional flyers. Rarely are they used for other items unless it's a very popular club.
