Yeah i know it's old news but in the UK things don't get released very quickly.
Watched it last night, pretty good. how the fuck did they do all those effects? was it actually filmed in NYC?
i could see the us government carpet bombing the whole city if something like that did happen :o

that is the only scene i liked from the movie when they are in the chopper. The movie would've been alright without that first person cam but fuck it. i give it a 5 out of 10.

I saw this movie after a bottle of 2 buck chuck and a couple beers. I almost puked when they were running. I had to look away from the screen a couple times. :o

I liked the fact that it was a "monster" movie that didn't follow the a main character that tried to stop the monster / save the world. It was just following some dood that wanted to make sure his chick was ok.

I think i remember seeing the group pass by other groups of people that also had video cameras. I, for one, would be interested in seeing their points of view also.

    I liked it.
I just laughed when the girl was impaled by a huge metal rod, then ten minutes later sprinted for a mile down main street

The writers didn't think about that little screw up.

I enjoyed it to, ended up with a headache afterwards from all the shakiness.

I thought it was pretty good.. it was imo too short and left way too many unanswered questions but thats what sequels are for, right? :ugh:

saw it for the first time last night.
i thought it was an excellent film. those little fuckers in the subway freaked me out

and i liked the fact that it was a lil more realistic as far as the main character doesnt save the world and ends up dying

and i love how in the very last scene, you can see the object falling in the ocean :noes:

in for a sequel from a different person's point of view

I rented this via Netflix last week ... on a small screen the shaky cam was not bad. The monster itself was cool, and I liked the parts where the army was attacking it, plus the first person premise wasn't as gimmicky as I expected. I'll give it a solid 7.5/10.

Did you see any splash in the water in the final scene? Took me 4 tries to locate it.

I agree that it was short, but most video tapes only last 90 mins right? I thought that was a nice touch. Though they must have had a HUGE ass battery to actually last that long.

Great movie. I like where they are potentially going with the movie. JJ Abrams FTW!

Cloverfield was alright. I cant say I was disappointed with it. But it's more or less centers on a group of people, than that of the Monster. The Monster is essentially just a side character in this.
