close stance A2G squats for the lose

    my legs havnt been this sore in many months. And it wasnt even a big workout. I was shoulder width and going to the point to where i bottom out.

    Squats
    135x10 (a2g)
    225x10 (a2g)
    315x5 (a2g)
    365x1 (a2g) x4 power
    405x1 power

    225x10 (a2g)
    225x10 (a2g)
    225x10 (a2g)

    with switching to a wide power squat I could really feel the weakness in my hips.

    SLDL 225x3x10

    calves

    My knees hurt a lot today too. :wtc:

    when u guys do a2g squats wheres your bar placement?? cause when i place the bar lower on my back(rear delts) i cant go a2g and maintain my balance...any tips?

    I think i've always carried my bar "too high" right solidly on the traps but off the neck. I saw stretch and learn to sit back a little bit. dont let the weight tip you forward.

    I have a natural bber at my college whos a huge mother fucker and pretty much knows the score in the gym; places the bar higher up on his traps when he goes close stance a2g, what do u guys think about this?

    i think heavy a2g squats are so impressive. everyone at my gym does this half asses squats that are just retarded

    almost nobody does squats at my gym, let alone A2G ones.

    the only way i can get a2g is by having my feet far apart (power lifter style)

    when my feet placement is shoulder width, and I go as low as possible, its nowhere near a2g.

    higher bar placement keeps you more upright and lets you get deeper, the more you lean forward the more it will pull your butt up and give you less depth

    I can't literally go A2G close stance with more than like 135 without feeling like my patellar tendon is about to tear in half.
