when i do certain tricep exercises my i sometimes get a clicking in my elbow. I think a tendon jumping over the funny bone. I have to be careful when benching and doing push ups, and some exercises i cant do at all. If it happens to much then it starts to hurt and i have to stop exercising altogether. Does anyone know what this is or how i can get rid of it?

i believe its inflammation causing the joint to click together.
i have the same problem, but mine occurs 10-12 times a day- not even during workouts.

try ice and an anti-inflammatory -- possibly a joint smoother if you want also (glucosamine)

If the problem persists contact a doctor.

I've had the exact same problem for 8 years and the doctor said only surgery will fix it. I am able to work out but it causes a lot of problems when I work triceps.

i think i probably have a similar thing to you then.
i know its not inflammation because it will do it whenever i move my arm a certain way, it only becomes painful if im lifting weights and it keeps happening repeatedly. If surgery is the only answer though (kinda thought it would be) than i can just live with it, its not that bad.
im going in for a checkup soon, so ill ask the doctor about it, see what he says.
