Since Monday I've been working on clearing 2/11 and Fort Benning to PCS to Fort Hood. Wednesday I submitted my DA31 and it was kicked back because I requested HRAP and PTDY.

Their reason - "Only Ranger Grads go do HRAP and PTDY."

The HHC CO and I discuss this, and he agrees to bless off on PTDY from here. I re-do the paper work, submit it dated to leave on the 5th of Nov; this coming Monday. HHC CO signs off and off to S1 it goes to the LTC/COL. It's kicked back again with "poor PT shape" and "PULL-UPS" circled with no signature. :wtf:  Scored 280 on my last PT Test!

So much for leaving on the 5th now!

Come Monday morning I'll resubmit everything and wait for the friggin signatures again....so I can finish clearing! I need a copy of my DA31 for Finance and shit.

Wish it was like that here!

I've re-worked the revised packet to take advantage of the coming 4-day though. Should this one not go though, than I will have violated my orders though no fault of my own. That'll be an interesting situation!

Hey LT why haven't you left yet?!

Because y'all wouldn't sign off on my packet; despite being correct.

    :ugh:

Expound on what is the HRAP and what the Permissive TDY is for? Are the pullups a graduation requirement?

HRAP - Home Town Recruiting. 14 days in your home town working with Recruiters.

PTDY - "House hunting" time giving to you when you PCS to a new duty station to make living arrangements. It's 10 days.

The only requirement which has ever been briefed is the completion of IOBC; I did so 5 months ago. The IOBC PT Test includes pull ups, and you don't graduate unless you meet at least the min standard. I was just weak on the push-ups, not pull-ups. And in the DA31 packet there is NO PT data at all; nor is any requested to be.

The time between then and now has been filled with other non-required schools (Airborne, Mech A2 and A3, SDM, Level 1 combatives).

Have the company commander hand walk it I guess so that he can explain anything that the Bn Cdr / XO question.

Reading this thread only reminds me of how badly I am out of shape for a combat arms unit assignment. Guess I have a shit load of work to do to get ready for FT Drum.

You'd be surprised how many 2LT's are out of shape while here at the LTO office. It's a Bull-Shit unit.

Most of the schools you can get into have only mediocre PT. It's like being in college again and having to forcefully make time for PT. Sucks ass!

Fort Drum eh...the extra weight will keep ya warm from what I hear about the winters up there.

    ;)

    :noes:

My orders say to "proceed on or before the 14th of Nov." I've dated everything for the 14th now and figure that they'll have to sign off on them or cut new orders. We'll see how Monday goes.
