    heres a sample shot:

a local camera place wants $50 and says it will take a day...i assume that he'll be wiping it down

another place says its free and will just use compressed air... what should i do?

Do NOT use compressed air on your sensor. I would run far away from that place, as compressed air (the cans you dust keyboards and stuff with) will most likely contain liquid propellants that can cause more harm to your sensor.

Did you try just using a rocket blower? You can get them for under $10 and it'll probably get most of the dust off.

It will blow air up there, if it's strong enough to remove it I don't know.

I'd also make damn sure it's really clean before you go blasting ear gunk on your sensor.

I have one of those...I had never thought to use it on the sensor. I just use it to brush off the lens and clean smudges for when I forget that I already took the lens cap off and go reaching for it and put a big thumb print on the lens:o. Admittedly it may just be a "lenspen" as it was a freebie :o

first time using the sensorklear i thought i fucked up my sensor. it was horrible. i just kept going at it and eventually it went away. i think i was smearing whatever was on the lens since it was the first time touching it in a couple years

there's one for cleaning lenses, and there's one for cleaning sensors. two totally different pens.

    lensklear and sensorklear, iirc

    1. Use rocket blower to get loose spots off first
    2. Use microfiber cloth to wipe sensor gently

Just don't apply pressure when wiping the sensor and you'll be fine.
