I have a 97 grand am gt that I picked up as a project car for school. The cars carpet has something spilled on it. It seems like an black oily based chemical that smells horrible but does not dry. I am going to be pulling the seats, as it is under the passenger side. What should I do to try and remove it? Any help would be great. Last resort is change all the carpet.
