I have a manly beard, middle-eastern type, about 1.5" long when straightened, but it's somewhat curly. I keep it trimmed and shave the non-beard areas regularly, it looks good. However, I have beard dandruff. I'm guessing the beard just holds in the dead skin until I disturb it, it's not like my skin is abnormally dry or anything.

What would be the best thing to clean it? Or should I just comb it out every day? Shampoo seems dumb, body wash on my face is weird (I don't like smelling it all day) and regular soap dries my skin out, which I think would make it worse (though I use regular soap to clean the rest of my face).

I've never had a beard that long :coolugh:, but try using a facial scrub once or twice a week...? :dunno:

It's necessary when you don't have a chin/jaw line, haha. I think my wife has some of that laying around, I'll give it a shot.
