I was going to say, it's missing a lot of parts from the engine bay.

i took out the power steering due to preferance. If i had the a/c i wouldnt use it anyway, i prefer having the windows down besides it was broken when i got the car

my first car didnt have it. when i got this current car the steering felt sloppy and detached, i wasnt getting the same feel for the road i had before. It feels much more stable without it, especialy at highway speeds. I only find it harder to turn when im goin 0mph. other than that i easily steer with one hand.

and then on top of that it gives me a nicer looking engine bay, i think so anyway, maybe a half a hp and maybe and extra half mpg.

well in anycase, since i took out the ps and a/c i get 8mpg more than i used to, but part of that is prob due to other maintinence performed on the car when i first got it

thats right also, hell, i even use fossil fuels:wiggle:
but i ditch my engine soon, cut a hole in the floor and go flintstones style

but seriously, its like how i also drive a stickshift despite the invention of the automatic trans. I walk even though segways exist. and i play sports outside even though i can play them on a game console. I like to make myself a ham egg and cheese in the morning rather than grab one at wawa (like 7-11 but a billion times better). Sometimes the "easiest" thing isnt the best thing.

but just try and accept that i like this better and thats why i do it.

Couple of things that disappoint me.

    #1, you have a B18B
#2 you have a half size radiator but with no turbo hanging off the block
#3 you removed your ABS + power steering - they should be there :(
#4 your brake master cylinder is leaking. you should get a spoon or mugen sock for that. just in case.
#5 repolish those headers! those aftermarket headers would look lovely and shiny again

#1, i have been thinking about going gsr at the end of the summer, but for cost reasons might just ride out this one for a while, im kinda torn on the subject, i want the gsr, but turbo would happen faster if i stay b18b1
#2, half size went on to replace bad rad, turbo plans in future
#3 abs was broken, i already covered power steering
#4 new brake master cylinder ready to go in a few weeks, also new trans clutch and flywheel
#5 turbo plans for future + existing header is megan anyway

  13. Maybe you should remove you're airbags too. I mean I like surviving car accidents but maybe you don't. Sometimes the easiest thing isn't the best thing. It'll make a man outta ya.

nothin i have done reduces the safety of the car

and dont bring up the abs, the abs unit somehow got damaged from underneath and wasnt creating a proper seal, i had a sinking brake pedal, repairing my brakes was a good idea.

besides, driving safe is more important than having a safe car.
someone could still hit you, but if your careful its less likely.

i dont see how having airbags removed is the easiest thing anyway, leaving them in is much easier.

why are you being such a jerk anyway? that was really just uncalled for
what are you so angry about?

I'm looking to get a miata and I want one specifically without power steering, because I know what you mean. It gives a much more connected and stable feel than power steering. However, on cars that come with power steering, it's a little bit of work to drive...at least that's what I've experienced in the past.

Engine bay looks clean. I need to do that one of these days, but I have a lot more things to move out of the way than you do.

the abs system on the older integras is particularly bad, the one on the type R and the 98+ integras works much better

  19. I think removing something like power stearing from a car is stupid. Its one of those things thats just nice to have. I've driven a car without it and its a pain in the ass.

well like i said, i like it better and thats why i did it. it would be stupid if i preffered power steering and removed. for example, it would be stupid for you to remove yours since you like it. but it would be stupid for me to keep mine, since i would rather not have it. yes it requires a little extra effort when at a dead stop, but seeing that i can still do it with only one arm its really not all that bad. and it feels much better when going 1 mph and up.

a more apporpriate comment would be something along the lines of, "i prefer my power steering, but to each his own."
just because someone has different likes and dislikes than you, that doesnt make them stupid.

    and you spelled steering wrong
