They are fine for the price. The wood will need to be refinished, they come pretty rough.

No bayonet lug or threaded barrel. If those aren't important to you then it's a decent deal.

If you find someone who knows what they are doing and has all the tools, you can build a nicer rifle for under $289. Plus no background check or FFL fee if you build from a flat.

    $100 Romanian parts kit.
    $15 receiver flat (~$70+FFL fee for a 100% receiver)
    $50 compliance parts
like 3-4 hours of your time.

And your done. Plus it's fun :)

Yeah, if you can find someone close by with all the tools it's a great deal. Most guys are willing to help too. You'd be surprised how many people are into building AKs. Go check the AK building section on ARFCOM and I think there's a list of builders. If there's not one from your area listed, go post in the hometown thread asking if there's any builders willing to help.

its not if you have to buy tools... so unless you have someone local that does or plan on building 5+ its not really worth it UNLESS you already have the tools.

If you used a 100% reciever you'd be ok, but using flats I think the law is something like your only allowed to sell 1 or 2 a year or you'll be considered a manafactuer. :greddy:

you can sell as many as you want really, it depends on the intent behind selling... since you have already specified intent of selling, you shouldnt.
