I've been away for the last 4 days teaching at a PD in southern Indiana.

Here are some pics from the two classes.

I'm a nursing student right now, and I'd love to take a field medicine class to see how it differs.

I can't believe you a nasal pharyngeal airway on a conscious patient that had to suck to be on the receiving end. Well not as much as an oral.

A nasopharyngeal airway, nasal trumpet, or most commonly called an NPA.

It provides a minimalist airway in an emergency and is much easier to carry, size and insert than an oral airway.

Nasal pharyngeal it is an airway that is lubricated and inserted through the nose allowing a patient to be ventilated. I personally use it in cases where the mouth /jaw is compromised. Generally an oral airway is quicker to put in provided the jaw is intact IMO.

How much is the cost for those fake body parts with intestines leaking out?

Do you think the blood all over the ground is helpful for training, or just kindof a fun thing to do? Awesome looking training

What are you guys doing for your force on force. I would love to get some force on force training but they usually make you take several begining and intermediate classes before hand. I know it's not the best idea to look for short cuts but I just don't have the time with my present shooting schedule and I mostly want to see how much of my competitive shooting and pro paintball experience transfers over.

The blood is all over the ground only AFTER it squirts or leaks out of the patient. It's helpful because you have to deal with a shit-ton of blood and it strengthens your Mindset to not be distracted by gore when you have a job that needs to be done.

Yes, you are trying to take a shortcut. To get the most our of Force on Force it is my belief that you need to have a solid understanding of the legal and tactical issues involved with the use of lethal force as well as reflex, safe gun handling.

You should probably take a good class from someone that covers these in detail.

With that said (written), we do not restrict this class and it has no formal prerequisites.

That's good. I did take a defensive pistol class one and two, as well as a tactical carbine and shotgun classes. The schools I inquired about force on force made it sound like I needed to take their begining and intermediate classes.

Granted they probably didn't take us seriously as we walked up on their kill house excercises wearing all our race gear (ipsc match on the adjacent berms). They were teaching some police academy guys.

To be honest I just want to shoot people with siminutions.

Back in my paintball days we did do a training excercise with the fontana swat team. That is a whole other story. Cliff notes is the swat guys got owned but it was more a paintball thing that shooting thing. I think siminutions would be quite different.

To be honest I don't think that's a good motivation for training with me.
