Been looking at Class III for a while now and I still have a TON of research and learning to do but what does a post sample dealer/departments only mean?

I saw it on a local link for a Colt M16A2E...

The Colt is a post sample machinegun, meaning it was manufactured after the ban. It's only available to 07/SOTs (manufacturers with a license to build NFA stuff) and Gov. agencies such as Police Departments.

What are you looking to get? Short barreled rifles, suppressors, AOWs?

Mark is good people, so is D. King he does amazing work for the GCO etc. PSI/Mark is about the best place in GA to do NFA shit. Tell him what you want and he sets up the trust etc. Just pay the man the money and wait.

These are also the guns that get turned into parts kits if a dealer cant get rid of them.

FYI, "pre sample" is any manchine gun imported after the effective date of the GCA of 1968 etc to May 19, 1986.

Sample term can also be used on any DD, silencer, SBR/SBS, and AOW imported after the effective date of the GCA of 1968.

Excellent, thanks for the advice. It's nice to be able to quickly post a question even if it is "easy" per se.
